SINGLE-POLE electric point for EPEE SCHERMASPORT "SCREWLESS" model
Stainless-steel single-pole electric point for Epee, with tip "screwed" onto base.
Calibration of lightning stroke made with silver-plated brass piston.
O-R ring to avoid possibility of accidental unscrewing of tip-base threaded coupling.
Minimum contact resistance, obtained by "silver coating" of conductive parts.
High sliding precision thanks to low levels of tolerance during construction.
Reduced and quicker maintenance thanks to absence of "screws".
To assemble point, insert a 7 mm. key in (8) for the tip and a 5 mm. key in (9)on the base.
Complete with copper-coated steel wire, insulated with painted textile sheathing.
PATENTED design.

ELECTRIFICATION
Blade/base coupling MUST SATISFY the following requisites:
The blade(11), when screwed onto the base (2), must be stopped leaving a gap of at least mm.1 (10). This enables the conductive elements to be positioned without being "squashed".
The insulating cups (6) must rest on the step on the inside of the base. In this way, calibration with the feeler gauge can be carried out in safety and according to the instructions that follow.
CALIBRATION OF LIGHTNING STROKE
NEW ELECTRIFICATION:
File the brass contacts (B) until the top edge of the base (C) is reached. Check the stroke with the feeler gauge by inserting the spring and screwing on the tip until end of base is reached {to make operation easier, we suggest that O-R ring (4) is temporarily removed}. To adjust, shorten the brass piston until a lightning closure of mm. 0,4/0,45 is reached.
REPLACEMENT OF POINT TIP:
Check lightning stroke with the feeler gauge by inserting the spring and screwing on the tip until end of base is reached {to make operation easier, we suggest that O-R ring (4) is temporarily removed}.To adjust, shorten the brass piston until a contact closure of mm. 0,4/0,45 is reached.
MAINTENANCE
A regular check of your electric point will ensure:
Continued high electrical and mechanical performance.
Reduced chances of undetected hits and consequential increased chances of "winning" a match.
Reduced risk of "penalty" due to defects in the calibration of feeler gauge or weight. Defects are often due to the wear of the materials.
